GIRL

This is Ginger, She is 8 years old and is retired, she has been spayed already and is available to a loving family.
We will be picky as we want it to be a permanent home for her and a good fit so everyone is happy. Ginger is the perfect dog if there ever was one.
Ginger is good with other dogs but they sometimes want to beat her up. She is not a dominant girl and really likes everyone. She does not however love cats so much, in a house by herself she probably would not chase them but I cant say that for sure. She does well in the car and likes to go for rides and stick her head out the window to get fresh smells in her face. You will need to keep the window locks on so she don't step on the control and then jump out the window.(she did this 1 time when she was very young, we were only going about 2 miles an hour turning around in a driveway thankfully so she was not hurt, but we learned a lesson. Ginger can be a little aloof and does sometimes like to ignore you when you call her, She likes to get belly rubs and will come up and roll over in front of you for them, She loves to sleep on the bed but not so much with you, more at the foot of the bed. She is house/doggie door trained, crate trained, knows sit, out of the kitchen, kennel and time for bed. She is fine with little kids but prefers not to be bugged by them, so if they become to much she will just leave. She really is a great dog but she is afraid of thunder, when the storms are coming in she gets nervous and digs at the floor and wants to be by you, we put her thunder vest on her and give her some CBD oil when we see a storm coming in, it doesn't totally get rid of her fear but it does help her some.
There will be a adoption fee for her so the family is invested in her but the right fit is the most important to us. There is a 2 week trial with any retiring adult we offer for adoption because its important they/you are happy. If they don't fit, bring them back for a refund

This is Molly, She is retiring and will be available to the perfect family once retired. She is a happy dog with lots of wiggles going on.
We will be picky as we want it to be a permanent home for her and a good fit so everyone is happy. I'll tell you the good and the bad with her, because its important that she go to the right family so she continues to get the love she deserves and the family isn't surprised by something she does.
The ideal family for her will be a family with lots of hands to pet her, all the time (never enough pets you could be an octopus and not have enough hands). She is good with children and ideally would be happiest if she were the only pet so all the attention would be on her. She will need a fully fenced yard so all house doors lead to the yard, and a doggie door would be best as that's what she is used to so she can go out when she wants or needs to. She does not like cats so a no cat home is needed. She is a dominant girl (with dogs & this may change some after her spay) she is a lovebug and wants to sit by you on the couch, sleep on the bed with you and follow you from room to room,
She is great in the car and is a watchdog in the car as well as at home. If you drive for a living and need protection she would be awesome. I used to take her in my pilot car with me and I would take her out to walk around and she would be nice and meet people but when I was in my car, if the same people she met while on a leash came to close to my window she was protecting me from them.
She does pull on the leash and could benefit from some more leash work. The headstall gentle harness works well for her pulling. She is a counter surfer so if you leave a steak or something out she will have it for dinner. She loves treats, knows kennel, sit and out of the kitchen and time for bed. If you have little kids she will likely take the food out of their hand as its right at her level and its free food honestly. She likes to chew dirty socks(yuck). She is used to free feeding so she can eat all she wants when she wants. She is house/doggie door trained.
She is good for the groomer and likes water. There will be a adoption fee for her so the family is invested in her but the right fit is the most important to us. There is a 2 week trial with any retiring adult we offer for adoption because its important they/you are happy. If they don't fit, bring them back for a refund
